what do you do if the person you are seeing is scared of being in a committed relationship? the guy i have been seeing for a while now has been cheated on in his past relationships so he has obvious trust issues now. I have those same issues because I too have always been cheated on. But I am willing to take that leap of faith with our current relationship. How do I have that conversation with him? We obviously enjoy eachothers company and have plenty of laughs together. What are some of your opinions?

This is always a difficult thing for women... I think you should date for a little while first and then bring it up in a non-confrontational manner. Maybe you both are having lunch one day... you can then say something like "You know I really like seeing you and the time we spend together, where do you see us headed"
Then based on that decide how much time you want to give it. Even though I am a guy, I understand that a woman has the right to know about her future relationship, especially if she wants to get married 1 day

You have to just be open with how you are feeling. I was in a relationship for over 3 years with a guy that didnt want to commit. He ended up leaving me for another woman. The experience made me a stronger person I learned not to waste my time with guys who arent serious anymore

Well marley, you said that you both have been cheated on. I would use that as my buffer. Seeing as you know why he's skittish about getting serious, you also relate to that fear because it's happened to you, too. Hope that helps him realize that you are much less likely to treat him that way since you know how shitty it feels.

Great attitude marley! No need to put a definition on the relationship right now if you guys are happy enjoying each other's company.
